Now what?

Since graduating with my BFA just over a year ago, I've actually not done much by the way of "real" art.  Not a painting in that whole time.  In fact, I've only recently started sketching again, and warming back up to the idea of creating fine art.  Now that I'm finally beginning to get new ideas, hopefully there'll be new works to go along with that... we'll see! So what have I been up to in the meantime? Mostly sewing.  A lot. I just came back from a summer working for the Virginia Shakespeare Festival as a staff stitcher, and have been making all sorts of historic garments for my own use and amusement.  (Currently, I'm really into the A

It's been two years since I last wrote in a journal here, and life has gone whizzing by. I'm now in my final semester, and will hopefully be holding my hard-earned BFA degree in a few months. I've been sewing more and more, and am thinking that I'll probably aim towards a career in costuming as opposed to strictly as an illustrator... though I don't see why the two should be mututally exclusive. I know life is going to change a lot this year, and I can't wait to see what'll happen!

I was looking through the files on my computer, and I came across a folder marked "high school and foundations art". Upon looking at it all, I decided that I was still attached to some of it, and wanted it somewhere on dA to compare and contrast to where I am now. So a few of the sort of goodish stuff is now in scraps.
